I believe in lasting memories. I believe in love. I believe in the power of the spoken word as much as I do the unspoken word to describe the beauty one does not see in themselves and shed the fear that comes with being in front of glass, the camera. I can see a change the very moment “it” happens; the body relaxes, the mind lets go of what we all think we should be or portray to the world, and then the sound of a click is heard. That click holds a moment that was trusting, vulnerable, not fearful, and with one look at the back of the camera, magic words are spoken, “Wow”. That click holds a moment that can not be re-lived, a fleeting moment that is documented and forever remembered by seeing and remembering daily. Every single session, whoever is in front of me is afraid, shy and yet has a reason to want to hire a professional photographer. Learning that why by listening and picking up on cues, is my why, and how my story began. What is your story?
I graduated from college with a Bachelors in Nursing and practiced in the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Rooms, and Outpatient Orthopedics before taking up my second career, photography. Seeking perfection in my career, I recently became a Certified Professional Photographer for the embertment of my professional self and for my clients, raising the standard that professional photographers should obtain for their clients.
I have been married to my sweetest and most supportive husband, Jim for 34 years. We raised three children and now enjoy four grandchildren. Scuba diving, traveling, regular exercise, playing with the grandchildren, and raising Monarch Butterflies keep Jim and I happy and full of life.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know a bit more about me. I look forward to getting to know you as well.
