About Lori

A Monarch Butterfly represents transformation, life cycles that show us a labor of love, a new life, a new beginning.

Hi, my name is Lori of Lori Anne Probst Photography

My passion for photography is to capture life, metamorphosis and, new beginnings, as memories may fade but a photograph is timeless.

lorianneprobstI am a wife, mother, dog lover and nurse.  I am a photographer who began with no intention of my skills ever being used for portraiture, however, I found I love capturing “people moments”.  I have traveled all over the states learning from the best photographers, mentored one-on-one, attended seminars, studied other’s work, took college courses, all for the pure love and joy of photography.  Then one day, God opened a door.  With full trust, I followed His path and am so  happy I did.   I love photographing newborns, children, and maternity, however, my true love is for Underwater Portraiture or Aquatic Portraiture.  There is something about being underwater that makes a woman look fascinatingly beautiful, no matter her size or age.

Fun Facts:  I competed in Synchronized Swimming and was a varsity swimmer until I made the Drill Team.  I have a degree is in Nursing. I adore my children, son-in-laws, three grand children and three dogs. I have been married to my best friend, Jim, for over 33 years. I’ve refinished my hardwood floors (by hand) and several pieces of furniture I found antiquing.  I love painting furniture or anything for that matter. I sew, make slipcovers, re-upholster and sew maternity dresses.  I taught spinning, was a personal trainer and yoga instructor.  I snow ski.  I love scuba diving and am an underwater photographer who not only captures corals and creatures underwater but people as well. Yes, I offer underwater people or model photography year around as I have an indoor heated pool. Talk about fun! Continuing on, I love to eat Milk Duds when I am traveling long distances but I am newly allergic to milk so a Starbucks Almond Latte with two pumps of caramel do the trick ;).  My husband and I raise Monarch Butterflies from egg to release and share our passion with many others in hope that our grand children can see their beauty in twenty years.  Lastly, I love to sit on my porch with my best friend, Jim while sipping a buttery Chardonnay.

Thanks for taking time to browse around!
