When the state allowed non-essential workers to open up, my phone was crazy! So many sweet mama's that were due within the next two weeks were calling. These mama's have been inside like all of us, but they are pregnant for gosh sakes, that alone is enough to get the hormones going crazy. So many missed their showers or never had one planned because of the world lockdown, such strange times but you know what I think? I think these pregnant mamas are the most amazingly strong woman ever, well at least in our current times.
Nimo and I connected the minute we spoke. Nimo is from Kenya and I have such a love for Africa. My second child was a missionary for 4 years while married and raising 2 children (she came to the states to have both children but immediately went back to the land she loves, Malawi Africa). I have been to Africa several times and one visit I did get to see and experience Kenya, such loving, kind and happy people! With all of that being said, I knew Nimos maternity photoshoot was going to be fun and wonderful.
Game day, everything was perfect! Nimo, Allen, her husband, and Abel, her 4 years old son arrived all ready to capture this amazing little bump. Wearing my white and red dress, we started in the studio and then went outside to my yard. My yard is 3 acres of lush green plants, and the flowers are beginning to come up.
I love the playful pictures that this beautiful maternity mama and her family captured. The swing was a last minute thought and I rather like the "lifestyle" look of it. Silly Abel was being, well a silly 4 year old. Thank gosh I have two 4 year old grandsons, almost makes me an expert in little boy behavior and how to get them to laugh, lol!
I showed Abel my Monarch Butterfly caterpillars, pointing out the poop. I knew he would love hearing about their poop because what boy doesn't..haha! Gotta love those boys!!!
Thank you Nimo, Allen, and Abel for choosing me as your maternity photographer.
